I have much higher limits now and would love to keep the card, but the low limit does not look great with other financial institutions. I wasn’t asking for pity, I was asking that the payment be changed to later in the month, every month, to accomodate when my check comes in. For instance, I called to see if my payment could be changed to later in the month, every month as my check comes in the third Wednesday (meaning it could be the 15th -21st

A $500-$1000 limit card has a maximum $30 a month payment... Milestone is a great card; I got a $500, 1.5% cashback card, with a total annual fee of $46 billed at $3.95 a month. The Terms and Conditions of the account, including the annual fee, are disclosed before your application is submitted. It doesn’t make sense when you make a payment and that payment has cleared your bank AND posted to your Milestone Account that you still must wait to access the fund

If you’re planning to travel, here’s a closer look at my favorite travel credit cards and how to use them. Most travel credit cards have interest rates comparable to other credit cards, but many charge an annual fee that might range anywhere from $0 to $500+. However, there are other premium travel cards with valuable benefits for travelers — including annual credits, elite status, bonus rewards, and more — for higher annual fee

The Amex Platinum is ideal for frequent flyers who want premium travel benefits, elite hotel status and a wide range of lifestyle credits that can easily outweigh the annual fee when fully used. Due to higher summer pricing, the cost would've been well over $2,000 if I'd paid cash for the flights. Meanwhile, Amex Membership Rewards has 20 transfer partners, though not all are worthwhile. You'll almost always get better value whenever transferring your points to airline and hotel loyalty programs. Unfortunately, compared to Chase, American Express Travel redemptions are only 1 cent per point for flight bookings and 0.7 cents per point for hotel reservations. If the Amex Platinum statement credits apply to bad credit balance transfer options you, it's worth it; otherwise, the Sapphire Reserve credits are easier to us

While the card does have a steeper annual fee, its monthly credits for Uber Cash and dining can offset the cost. The Amex Gold offers a rich array of potential credits that could far outweigh the annual fee if fully maximized. Both cards earn Membership Rewards points, but with the cards’ different earning rates in different bonus categories, the winner will depend on your personal spending habits. The Amex Green card keeps things simple, earning 3x on travel, transit and dining and 1x on all other spending. And although the spending requirement is more than double on the Amex Gold, the payout is much more valuable, especially if you transfer those points to Amex’s travel loyalty partners, which include Delta Air Lines, JetBlue and Hilton. Both cards justify their cost through high rewards in select categories and other benefits, but the Amex Green card will likely appeal to travelers who want strong rewards and don’t want to shell out for a more premium travel car
